The Main Restaurant and bar is located in the main building of the lodge and is where you will experience the best views of the T’sehlanyane National Park. Satisfy your hunger in the morning with a freshly cooked breakfast or indulge in a glass of world class wine by the fire when you experience fine dining at Maliba Lodge. At Maliba Lodge, our commitment to providing an exceptional dining experience is deeply rooted in our unique location. Situated in a remote area, securing supplies in Lesotho poses certain challenges. Unlike establishments in bustling cities like Johannesburg or Durban, we must ensure that we consistently deliver on our promises. Consequently, we have opted for a set menu, allowing us to carefully select the freshest and highest quality ingredients available.
While this may limit the variety of choices, it guarantees that each dish meets our stringent standards. Moreover, as we don’t benefit from passing trade and rarely have a full restaurant, a set menu enables us to operate with optimal efficiency.

Accommodation
5 Star Mountain Chalets
Home to nine individual exclusive thatched luxury chalets, tastefully decorated in natural earthy tones. Each one has a luxurious bath, walk-in shower, and fireplace for those colder nights ensuring a comfortable stay for guests.
The private patio with viewing deck, provides spectacular views of the park and the Hlotse River valley.
The Mountain Chalets have the option of double or twin beds. An additional single bed can be added for children, upon request.
2 Guests per Chalet, option of Double Room or Twin Room, with En-Suite
Bathroom. Single Bed can be added at an extra cost. Separate Chalets with open plan setting, in very close proximity to each other.

3 Star River Lodge
Situated on the banks of the river Holtse River are four of our double story large stone and thatch river lodges that have 4 bedrooms each and can accommodate up to 8 people. The lodges are located on a Scenic riverbank within the national park about 1 km from the main lodge. The lodges are self-catering and come with fully equipped kitchens and braai facilities.

Fully Equipped Kitchen for Self-Catering
Each River Lodge is fully equipped with a kitchen and braai facilities for self-catering. In the event that you do not feel like cooking on your holiday, make your way up to our stunning restaurant and bar which is located a short drive to the main lodge building. Bookings are required.

Riverside Huts
Please note this accommodation does not operate from 1st May to 31st August EVERY year due to heating problems during Winter in that vicinity of the Lodge.
The Maliba Riverside Huts are cozy round traditional Rondavels ideal for 2 people. They come with an ensuite bathroom, comfortable queen size beds and are located next to a pristine river swimming hole within the national park.
Please note the road from the Riverside Lodge/Huts is a bit tougher for smaller cars.

Hiking
Lesotho is home to some world class hiking trails and Maliba Lodge is lucky enough to be surrounded by some quality hikes that you can explore, either by yourself on our well-marked tracks or with one of our experienced guides.
Guided Hiking Tour
Not confident hiking the trails by yourself? We have experienced guides to help navigate you through the Maloti Mountain range, experiencing some spectacular scenic views that will blow you away. Guided Hike can be arranged at reception.
Unguided Trials
There are couple of options to do the Hiking. You can either embark on your own or you can hire a guide. If you want to do a hike on your own, Following are help documents of some trails.
There are at least 10 walking tracks for hiking in the immediate area around Maliba which you can follow using the maps provided below, or with a guide upon request.
