Old Mill Drift Guest Farm is centrally located between 3 of SA’s major cities, Johannesburg, Durban and Bloemfontein (3 to 4 hrs) making it a perfectly centralized venue for family gatherings, club meetings, national conferences, expo’s and weddings. The quaint village of Clarens, only 27km away, offers unique variety to your trip.

Structures

The farm, comprised of 14 buildings, offers multiple self-catering accommodation options that include thatch and character sandstone cottages, chalets with pet enclosures, a honeymoon suite, lodges and large dormitory style accommodation. Suited to a loner seeking refuge, couples searching for a unique romantic getaway or large family group and sporting club.

The more rustic options include campsites with ablutions, wooden cabins, backpacker AKA Student Diggs and Stone Lodge, an ideal launch pad for weekend warriors who want strenuous daytime adventures to end with a hot shower and a comfy bed to rest weary bones.

Our functions and event hire facilities include the Old Mill, a historic building which houses the 1905 Old Mill includes a bar with fireplace, kitchen and an oversized lookout deck, the Wool Sorting Shed which is utilized as a chapel, functions or food hall and the Conference Centre with breakaway rooms, and ample restrooms.

River Tubing

Bumble on our most beloved old Massey Fergusson tractor and trailer to a drop-off upriver. Before setting off, strap on that cooler box with thirst and hunger quenchers. Have a mud fight on one of the islands or pan for diamonds in the many gravel beds where you could possibly truly find an alluvial diamond.  Tubes for rent.
