Accommodation:

The duration of the stay will be at Umngazana Cottages.  The cottages are situated on the wild coast approx 40km out of Port St. Johns.  The estuary has all three types of mangroves, boating on the estuary is fun filled, you can enjoy viewing the wildlife, birds, mud crabs, mud hoppers etc, or relax and fish the estuary.  There are beautiful tidal rock pools to cool off in, from kiddy’s pools to adult.

5 Day Itinerary

Arrival at Port St John and meet and greet by Nico.

Day 1:

Walk to Mermaids Pool – 7km
Snorkeling

Day 2:

Mangrove Forest Walk – 75

Day 3:

Brazen Head Walk – 9km

Day 4:

Cultural Village Walk – 7 km

Day 5:

Long beach walk from Umgazana to Umgazi River Mouth – 7km

Notes:

• Min of 7 hikers and max of 12 hikers.
• Most afternoons will be free for relaxation, swimming, tanning or just reading a book.
• Other activities at no extra cost that will be available:
• Canoe trips,
• Boat trips up the mangrove estuary,
• and even some fishing.
• Nico will be fully available 24/7 to manage hiking, activities, accommodation, and meals.
