Just For Two Cottage

Want some time alone with your loved one in a truly romantic setting?  The Just for Two is the perfect getaway.

  • Cottage for a couple
  • All bedding and towels provided

This romantic getaway is situated where two valleys meet, embraced by deep red cliffs and touched by morning sunlight.  The cottage was built in the late 1800s and was the welcome “refuge” for Italian prisoners of war in the early 1940s.  Its delicious charm lies in its simplicity – a bedroom, kitchen and bathroom built of stone and clay.

The Just-for-Two has been delicately renovated with the utmost respect for the beauty of the simple life and the warmth and history of the original earthy building materials. The cottage is fully equipped with gas appliances and cooking equipment, with a braai area outside.  There is no power, with paraffin lamps for night light.  The bath and shower are open to the sky, providing an unforgettable experience under the stars.   The flush toilet is strategically placed apart to give you a beautiful view up the kloof. This remains our favourite place for romantic getaways, with wide open spaces, red cliffs, endless beauty and a warm and cosy nest at the end of the day.

Check in is anytime from 2pm onwards and check out by 10am. Guests are welcome to arrive earlier and leave later if you want to do walks, however, please ensure you are out of your accommodation so that our team can start cleaning for the next guests.

Please note this is un-serviced accommodation, though for stays of four days or more we can organise to have the cottage cleaned and new linen and towels provided. Please make sure that you arrange this when you make your booking and before your arrival.
