Drakie Private Camp
Forgotten Cederberg, Western Cape
The Cederberg region is not only known for its natural beauty but also for its rich cultural heritage. The area has a unique set of vernacular place names that have been passed down through generations, reflecting the local identity and history. These names, such as Slangbosfontein, Katstertdrif, and Pendoornkraal, are a testament to the Cederberg’s unique “Sense of Place” and are now part of South Africa’s cultural and natural heritage.
