About The Hike

Explore the wonders of Wüstenquell with our exclusive hiking safari! This 3-day,40km fully catered, slack packing hike offers breathtaking views of granite sculptures and the arid Namib Naukluft Park. Perfect for geology enthusiasts and beginner hikers.

Arrival and Briefing

Guest will arrive at Wüstenquell Lodge from 14h00 onwards.  Transfers can be arranged at time of booking.  Accommodation for the first night is provided in tents.  Beers, ciders, wines and soft drinks are not included and will be for hiker’s own account.  Drinking water will be provided to hikers for the duration of the hike.  Private vehicles will be parked at the Lodge for the duration of the hike.

Briefing session with WWS team, whereafter a delicious hot dinner is served.

Day 1 and 2

Wakeup call and luggage to be handed over to logistics for packing.  Guests will only be carrying their day backpack.

Coffee and rusks. Brunch will be served along the route.

Hikers start hiking trail (+/- 12km)

Hikers will walk through the farm into a dry riverine in the Namib Naukluft Park passing some of the most amazing rock formations.  Wüstenquell is known famously for its eagle rock.  Game can be seen along the walk such as Oryx, Zebra and Springbok.  Star gazing on this unique farm is a must.  Hikers will arrive at a wild camp with tents, toilets showers and dining area.

Day 3

Wakeup call and luggage to be handed over to logistics for packing.  Guests will only be carrying their day backpack.

Breakfast is served.

Hikers start hiking trial (+/- 12km).

Final day of hiking will end at the Wüstenquell Lodge with a welcoming swimming pool and an evening around a bon fire.  Dinner and accommodation are provided.

What is included:

• First and last night’s accommodation in tented camp
• Sahara A-frame tents are provided and erected for hikers with beds, mattresses, linen, side table, small carpet and solar light.
• All meals (with dietary requirements) and drinking water.

What is not included:

• Flights, transfers and any others tour planning – please let us know should you need assistance with this
• Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

All rates include 15% vat, farm fee and park fee.
