Wildehondekloof Hiking Safari

Garden Route, Western Cape

The Hiking Safari takes place in the Garden route, South Africa at Wildehondekloof Private Game Reserve. You will be able to hike alongside the Giraffes, the rare Mountain Zebra, the Hartebees, Wildebeest and many more.  The Hike will be right against the Swartberg mountains, and you will have amazing views over the mountains.

Each day will be pact full of Adventure, but you can also relax in the afternoon and enjoy a massage or just enjoy the Nyala in front of your accommodation while the fires is burning in the fireplace inside your room or at the lodge. You will also experience a Meerkat Safari, and an Ostrich Safari and do a Game drives each day.

As a precaution, we would like you to carry the following compulsory equipment with you during the race. It is for your own personal safety. Please adhere to the following:

  • zip lock bag to keep phone dry
  • Space blanket

  • Long Thermal base layer (pants and top)
  • Whistle

  • Outer shell jacket (waterproof)

Route

Hiking days – 3 days:

  • Day 1: 20km (Elevation 400m)
  • Day 2: 15km (Elevation 300m)
  • Day 3: 16km (elevation 400m)

 Accommodation

Accommodation is included in your rate with bedding and towels.

The units above sleeps 2 people, double or 2 single beds and are all en-suite. If you want to stay single, a supplement of R4000 will apply. You are responsible for your own sharing friend.

Please arrange your own transport to the start point at De Zeekoe Guest Farm 4 hours from Cape Town, about 50 minutes from George Airport.

By agreeing, I hereby waive any claim which can be made against the shareholders, directors and staff of Trisport and temporarily staff on the event. Any private lodge, home owner or farm owner associate with the event and not mentioned here. Limpopo, Lindani, Eden Municipality, Mossel Bay Municipality, SANParks, Cape Nature, Eden Tourism, Mossel Bay Tourism, or any other governmental body not mentioned here, any sponsor associated with the event not mentioned here (Hereinafter referred as the INDEMNIFIED PERSONS), which may arise from any activities offered by the INDEMNIFIED PERSONS and specifically with regard to this Event. The INDEMNITY GRANTOR hereby releases the INDEMNIFIED PERSONS from all liability and holds each and all of the INDEMNIFIED PERSONS harmless against all claims, damages, injuries, losses, debts, expenses and liabilities arising out of or in any way connected with any activities offered by the INDEMNIFIED PERSONS, including without limitation : 1. Any personal injury or loss of life; 2. Any loss of support, maintenance or other claims or damages arising from or connected with any personal injury or loss of life to the INDEMNITY GRANTOR; and 3. Any loss or damage to property belonging to the INDEMNITY GRANTOR or any third party, which may occur whilst participating in the said race; 4. Whether arising out of strict liability, statute or otherwise and whether caused by the negligence or gross negligence on the part of the INDEMNIFIED PERSONS or any other person or otherwise We are fully aware of the dangers associated with this event and of the dangers to which we will expose ourselves during the event. We are fully aware of the possibility of human interference other than that of the organizers and the INDEMNITY GRANTOR fully accepts all the risks associated therewith. I acknowledge that there are risks involved and that the experience may be stopped on the field guide’s discretion should I not follow his/her instructions. Children should be under parent supervision at all times. We declare that we are physically fit and healthy so far as may reasonably be determined and undertake to inform the organizers and their team of any condition, medical or otherwise past and/or present, which may have an impact on our participation and the participation of others in the aforesaid activities. Each clause of this Deed of Indemnity is independent and severable from all other clauses. The acknowledgements, agreements and undertakings in this indemnity shall be deemed to be made in favour of the INDEMNIFIED PERSONS. Each element of the release from liability and/or indemnity in respect of each cause or activity covered by this release from liability and/or indemnity shall be separate and severable from the other elements. This indemnity shall in all respect be governed by the Laws of the Republic of South Africa, and all disputes actions and other matters arising in connection herewith, shall be determined in accordance with such laws.
