The Hiking Safari takes place in the Garden Route, South Africa at Wildehondekloof Private Game Reserve. You will be able to hike alongside the Giraffes, the rare Mountain Zebra, the Hartebees, Wildebeest and many more. The hiking routes are at the foothill of the Swartberg mountains. You will have amazing views over the mountains.
Each day will be pact full of Adventure, but you can also relax in the afternoon and enjoy a massage or just enjoy the Nyala in front of your accommodation while the fires is burning in the fire place inside your room or at the lodge. Enjoy a lunch in the Wild each day, a Game drive and exclusivity of the Game Reserve.

Please arrange your own transport to the start point at Wildehondekloof Private Game Reserve, about 4 hours from Cape Town, about 50 minutes from George Airport.

How to get there
Wildehondekloof Game Reserve, Oudtshoorn, Garden Route, Western Cape, South Africa
Self-Drive: Wildehondekloof is about 5 hours drive from Cape Town and 1 hour from Oudtshoorn
Fly: Fly to George and a shuttle can be organised from the airport.
Age
Age: Minimum age 15.
People 65 and older must please send us a letter from their doctor stating that they are OK to hike the distances each day
Fitness level and Terrain
This hiking tour is not suitable for beginners who only hike on flat and easy surfaces like tar or gravel roads.
You must be able to navigate some technical sections over rocks and walk off-road through the bush. We don’t follow set-out hiking trails. The terrain can be challenging.

Accommodation
Accommodation is included in your rate with bedding and towels. The units above sleeps 2 people, double or 2 single beds and are all en-suite. If you want to stay single, a supplement of R4000 will apply. You are responsible for your own sharing friend.

A Garmin InReach (to be used in case of an extreme emergency only, not when you are tired)
