Hadeda Creek has been hosting School Camps for many years. We are proud to be one of the best Adventure Camps for Schools!  We offer various packages including a host of fun, character-building activities that challenge the students, allowing them to apply life skills, be part of a team and showcase leadership abilities. We also customize programs to suit specific outcomes and objectives and to align with syllabuses that enable the students to practically apply what they learning in the classroom.

We offer our Leisure guests self-catered glamping accommodation, utilizing our fully furnished, solid base tents, a fully equipped kitchen, entertainment, and relaxation areas, a tuck shop, our fully stocked Wacky Paddler bar, a pool, volleyball court, obstacle course, high ropes, climbing wall, paintball arena, giant tree swing, hiking, and fishing.  There’s something to do for everyone!

Our Conference facilities are set in a peaceful and natural setting, are equipped with all the audio-visual equipment necessary to facilitate successful conferences, meetings, and training sessions.  We tailor-make these events according to desired outcomes and our expert facilitators and trainers are on call to make this happen! Teambuilding activities are offered and co-ordinated both onsite and offsite.

Have some fun in the sun around the pool, find a spot for quiet reflection or conversation, or gather a rowdy crowd to watch a game of Rugby.
Meet around the campfires at night for a fire-side nightcap.
Our Wakky Paddle Bar is a fully stocked cash bar with snacks available Hadeda Creek T-shirts and Caps are also available for sale.
Our private and communal kitchen and braai facilities are fully equipped with all the necessary crockery and cutlery for meal preparation.

Accommodation:

Just over an hour’s drive from Johannesburg central, HADEDA Creek is on a scenic secluded section of the Vaal river. We offer tented accommodation with both standard as well as new en suite executive thatched tents

All tents are equipped with electricity and linen.  The main camp area features stunning views of the Vaal river and offers a boma, chill lounge and fire place, the perfect setting for any adventure, relaxing weekend or corporate conference.

HADEDA Creek has facilities to take up to 100 people sharing. We also have overflow accommodation that can cater for an additional 50 people sharing.

1 Bedroom Tents

Our 1 bedroom tents offer glamping-style, luxury accommodation on raised wooden decks, with views of the beautiful Vaal River right on your doorstep.  Comfortable and homely, these tents offer a fully equipped kitchen and lounge area.  Communal bathrooms are provided in close proximity to each tent. They accommodate up to 4 guests, a perfect fit for a family with young children or a couple.

2 Bedrooms and En-suite

Our 2 bedroom en-suite tents offer glamping-style, luxury accommodation on raised wooden decks, with views of the beautiful Vaal River right on your doorstep.  Comfortable and homely, these tents offer a fully equipped kitchen and lounge area. Linen and bath towels are provided.  Each bedroom has an en-suite bathroom.  They accommodate up to 6 guests, a perfect fit for a family or friends traveling together.

River Rafting

Enjoy river rafting at Hadeda Creek as the intense currents of the Vaal River take you on an adventure of a lifetime. Tighten those helmets, buckle up those life jackets and get ready to have bucket loads of fun. Remember, work together as a team. Build don’t break each other down and embrace the moment!

We offer an enjoyable 8km river rafting experience including lunch as well as a 3km river rafting experience without.

Obstacle Course

An obstacle course packed with fun, that will have you on your knees crawling through grass, blindfolded, dipped in mud and challenging you and your teammates physical strength and communication skills.

Fishing

Here at Hadeda Creek, the Vaal River is full of different species of fish for a fun fishing experience. Catch carp/yellowfish/catfish and even mud fish.

Zipline

Our qualified guides will assist guests in conquering their fears on the Zipline in the safest of environments. The zipline platform is reached by ascending the climbing wall offering the opportunity to experience the thrill of zipping through the air.

Archery

One of the many skills that campers often experience for the first time, archery is always popular at Hadeda Creek.

Thanks to books and movies like The Hunger Games, archery has experienced a surge in popularity in recent years and campers are eager to learn the techniques involved. Campers are closely supervised as they use Hadeda Creek’s compound bows to aim for the bull’s-eye. Camp’s archery range is ready for the next Robin Hood. Could that be you?

Sunset Paddle

This is an amazing opportunity to get out on the water a little later in the day and to experience the stunning beauty and nature of the Vaal River from a different and the totally magical perspective of this place at twilight!  Our highly experienced guides will meet you at our launch point with your kayak and all other equipment needed, ready to be transported out on this amazing trip – and this is where the real adventure starts!

Hiking

Lace up those hiking boots and step back 2000 million years. Discover the clearly visible evidence of the world’s biggest meteorite impact which the Vredefort dome is a part of. Look around and let nature reveal itself in the variety of fauna and flora that flourishes in this geological and astronomical phenomenon.

Take a walk on the wild side

Our Hadeda creek hiking trails cater to families and hikers looking for a more leisurely walk-in nature and to walk in nature and to those wanting a more challenging experience.

The 5km family-friendly hike winds through a grassy area shaded by trees. The 8 km hike, recommended for more experienced hikers, includes part of the 5 km hike and advances to more challenging terrain as you climb to the top of the mountain.

Make your hike a full-day excursion by including a half-way picnic, pre-hike breakfast or lazy lunch back at camp followed by sundowners.
