The Rhenosterpoort Water Retreat consists of a self-catered chalet overlooking a dam on the Rhenosterspruit. The farm is in the Waterberg Mountains, an area renowned for its un-spoilt natural beauty. There are two established hiking trails on the farm, and this gives visitors the opportunity to see places that are not accessible by vehicle. Enjoy the scenic beauty of this little piece of paradise.
The Waterberg Area has many other activities for visitors and the owners will be happy to assist with bookings for these. Included are Horse Riding Trails with Equus Safaris, Big Five Game Drives with Kololo Nature Reserve, Cheetah Feeding Tour at the De Wildt Shingwedzi Cheetah Breeding Centre, Arts and Craft Market in Vaalwater, day visit to Marakele National Park, and many more.
Stone Chalet accommodates 4 people
The Stone Chalet:
The stone chalet overlooks a farm dam on the rhenoster stream, nestled against the waterberg mountains. Although relatively small this is a permanent water source and creates a lovely relaxed atmosphere for relaxing. The chalet is a single room with a double-bed and a double-bunk, and a kitchenette. There is an en-suite bathroom with a shower. The chalet has electricity and bedding and bath-towel are provided. The kitchenette is equipped with the basics.
There is some fishing available in the dam, although you need to bring your own equipment. The start of the marked hikes is within an easy distance and one can either start walking from the chalet, or drive to the starting point and leave your vehicle there. Mountain bicycles are also welcome, please bring your own.
It accommodates 4 guests and consists of a single room with bunk beds and mattresses. There is a big enclosed Lapa with braai facilities.
